COOKIN' STU - Episode 20
It’s been 20 episodes already… what a journey. For our Season 1 finale, we get one last peek at Cordelia and Jack’s lovey-dovey relationship and some elite banana-shaker action (thank you, Karolina). Three completely different vibes today, including one track that might be legally questionable with how much it sounds like a DJO song. Guess I gotta drafting the emails to my lawyers.
COOKIN' STU - Episode 19
Everyone’s locked in, but chaos still takes over the most focused participants in Cookin’ Stu. Fishing, tons of guitars, laughing tracks, toilets at parties, missing the toilet??? and three groovy tracks for you today. If you were expecting something more “professional,” sorry to break it to ya, but this is what making music looks like in 2025.

Firefly guitars, random whistling, and somehow Tom & Jack staging a corporate takeover of Cookin’ Stu (don’t ask). The genre blender went full speed today: country, R&B, and house all crashing into each other in the best way possible. It’s mayhem, sure, but the kind that makes you wonder how on earth we ended up here. The only way to know is to watch… or not, but then you’re missing out on peak creative chaos. Your call. Deuses.
COOKIN' STU - Episode 15
You are at a barbecue, it’s nice out and the food is sizzling. The ambulance is passing by. Chaos becomes overwhelming, but then everyone eats and enters a peaceful state of mind where heaven comes to earth and children sleep soundly – I bet you’ve never heard a song that feels like that, and thanks to the wonderful work of today’s six artists you’ll know exactly what that sounds like.
COOKIN' STU - Episode 14
Ready to dance? Today’s tracks bring a bounce to the dancefloor: big bass, four-on-the-floor kicks, and everything from techno intensity to chilled-out house vibes. The usual cameraman was MIA, so the temporary one had tiny robot cameras rolling around instead (kind of unsettling, kind of adorable. Actually super adorable). Someone found Jack's flask, which inspired a distorted nightmarish outro? Don’t ask me how that works. Honestly, I’m not sure what’s going on anymore—but the beats slap, and that’s all that matters.

All these questions come up in Episode 10 of Cookin’ Stu. You probably won’t get all the answers—but you’re welcome to try.

Even though some of our footage may or may not have been taken for government research, that didn’t stop anyone from making three cool-ass songs: a peaceful indie track, a chill drum-and-bass-y moment, and a groovy disco vibe. Does anyone even read these? If you do, comment “Burger.” Let’s see who’s really paying attention. COOKIN' STU - Episode 8
A full-on guitar day—chorus on the guitar, in the chorus, during the chorus section. Obviously. We also ate well: croissants, croissantwiches, potatoes… you know, the essentials. Wrote songs about hating people. Wrote songs about trees. Good fat-as-fuck kicks. All in chaotic 45-minute bursts. There was even some Voodoo-flavored R&B in the mix too. And maybe a hint of sponsorship energy (shoutout to Ableton. Call us.)
COOKIN' STU - Episode 7
The return of Juan, plus some incredible new artists in the mix. Between Reese’s honey-soaked vocals and Léna’s airy magic, the melodies in this one are not to be missed. R&B Clairo? That’s what the living room’s serving up today. Jack’s room catching heat for no reason? Okay… maybe those subtitle translations weren’t 100% accurate. A funky, top-down, summer-drive kind of track? That’s Gab’s studio. Obviously. I never come into these sessions with expectations, but somehow, they always surprise me. The versatility in this crew is wild.
COOKIN' STU - Episode 6
“What is Cookin’ Stu?” you may ask… It’s where Dune-esque film scores meet Pinterest quotes. Where 808s collide with the sound of a lively crowd... and somehow land in house music. This week, we threw together another wild mix of artists and ended up with (you guessed it) a full-on cacophony of sounds. Three studios, completely different vibes, and somehow, it all came together.
COOKIN' STU - Episode 5
Briskets, disco vibes, emo psychedelia, and three songwriters from completely different musical worlds. Yeah, this one got weird. Personally, I’m still thinking about the resampling magic that went down in Gab’s studio. That moment alone sums up what Cookin’ Stu is all about: random elements coming together and somehow making sense. If you’re new here, welcome! Things only get more chaotic and experimental from this point on.
COOKIN' STU - Episode 4
I took the three most different songwriters I could find and stuck them with three producers who fully embrace chaos, just to see what would happen. The results did not disappoint. Every song feels like it came from a completely different universe, where music follows rules we definitely don’t understand. There were a lot of variables at play here: chips covered in Valentina, palo santo burning, people just making weird noises into a mic for no reason. Who’s to say if any of this would’ve turned out the same without those little details. Anyway, it’s a trip. Hope you’re ready. Light your incense and enjoy the video!
COOKIN' STU - Episode 3
What no one really knows (until now) is that even though this is Episode 3, it was actually the first Cookin’ Stu session we ever recorded. So technically, this is where the madness began. And somehow, that madness led to a psychedelic dub track, a groovy funk tune, and an indie pop anthem—because why commit to one genre when you can do three? Along the way, we set a world record (4+ bass tracks on one song—it blew our minds), invented drum sounds using post-it notes, and spontaneously started speaking French. Because when creativity hits, sometimes you just roll with it.
COOKIN' STU - Episode 2
It all started with a dance room, a bouncy room, and a floaty room. Somehow, our creations survived an onslaught of meows (so many meows), croissants, and whips—only to land on Jersey beats? Maybe this is what happens when creativity runs wild in a slightly unhinged environment. Or maybe this is just what peak music theory looks like. Does anyone even read this far? If so, blink twice.
COOKIN' STU - Episode 1
One minute we’re frolicking in dreamy fields, the next, we’re in an intimate R&B feel, and just when you thought that was done, we get immersed in a cinematic folk atmosphere. Kalimbas? Check. Body percussion? Check. Truck noises interrupting vocal recordings? You bet. It sounds like chaos but that’s just what happens when you throw six music students in an apartment and tell them to finish each other’s songs. Will it be genius or complete madness? Probably both.
