Hixon
Producer
Hixon Foster is a mess of curls blending into a room of tangled wires, a mediator obsessed with contrast, a pair of hands leading a body. In another life they'd be a mad scientist, but in that life they'd wish they were a writer who wished they played music. While Hixon primarily works in music production, they use their skillset as a foothold into the worlds of performance art, new music composition, filmmaking, immersive media, and theatre, recursively seeking out what can be brought from those mediums into music production. Genesis was folk music in Northern Michigan, where Hixon learned to infect people with emotion. Now studying at Berklee College of Music and Harvard University, Hixon is developing their instrumentalism at Berklee, their compositional ability at Harvard, and their production ability at MIT. Having achieved early success in Lofi music circles and pop mixing, Hixon is frequently found begging people to listen to their experimental work yet refusing to release it. They do, though, plan to release an EP titled "Votre Mite" over the next few months, so stay tuned for that!
